LOGISTIC OFFICER

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in either of: Business, Transportation Management, Logistics Management or Production Operations Management or Customs Brokerage.

SKILLS:
• Thorough knowledge on customs releasing of goods, applicable customs duties and taxes
• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations
• Strong analytical skills
• Good communication (written and verbal) skill.
• Maintains a high level of organization.
• Detail oriented
• Able to multi-task
• Computer savvy, advanced proficiency on Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment, and comfortable working under the pressure of time constraints
• Has organizational and supervisory skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications (computer literate)
• At least 2 to 3 years professional experience in supply chain & logistics analysis/ environment
• Experience in international trading, importation/exportation is preferred

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare shipping documents
• Receive and pack the shipment
• Perform stock count
• Liaise with forwarder or subsidiaries on shipments
• Review orders and vendor contracts.
• Communicate with vendors and freight forwarders regarding ordering and logistics issues.
• Maintain daily open communication with customer service reps and account manager in regards to delivery and purchasing issues.
• Conduct the initial set up of item information in system and maintain accuracy at all times.
• Monitor production of vendors.
• Assist with purchasing and other related duties as assigned and complete additional tasks as requested.
• Coordinates outbound shipments, including arranging pickups, tracking shipments, setting dock appointments and other as-needed duties
• Obtains competitive quotes from freight companies
• Assists with inventory counts
• ensures accurate inventory at all times
• Performs inventory analyzes as needed
• Assists with picking, packing and shipping of outbound UPS shipments, and building shipments as needed
• Participates in other inventory, warehouse and logistics projects as needed
