nVolve is the concept of online participation. As the name points out, we involve people. nVolve offers support of the making and implementing of an online participation strategy and answers the question of our client which tools should be used to involve their target group. nVolve currently exists of two concrete products: a participation platform, using Volves that allow participation, and a communication platform, using Volves that allow interaction.
Structure
The organization of Dijksman.com is in the process of further professionalization.The implementation of online participation often results in a technical implementation of an online participation platform. To keep the efficiency of the technical implementation process as high as possible, we have created a JAVA based architecture which allows causes Volves (dedicated tools).The architecture has been developed in JAVA, combined with Spring Platform and Hibernate. All Volves (components) that are developed are platform independent and can be used for several communication streams, such as internet and mobile.

SENIOR JAVA ENGINEER
GENERAL SUMMARY
- He or she will help lead the development of the JAVA/J2EE core platform and supporting tools.
- The candidate should also have technical expertise to lead a team of Junior Developers building 3-tier web applications.
- Will gather and analyze requirements, lead the design, development and implementation of the product.
- Will organize and participate in review sessions and contribute to system testing to ensure quality deliverables.
- Will develop good quality products in a challenging timeframe and assist and mentor other members of the team.
- Will provide regular feedback to management on project status.
- Will contribute to the development and continuous review of appropriate practices, standards and guidelines.
Requirement:
- 3 - 5+ years of software development experience using Java/J2EE.
- Strong hands on experience with Core Java and J2EE Technologies.
- Experience with various frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts, Hibernate, Portlets and other related open source technologies.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
- Knowledge of various Java and J2EE Design Patterns.
- Experience with n-tiered enterprise software application design and development.
- Knowledge of computer network infrastructures, technologies and protocols.
- Experience with Web Interface development (HTML, XHTML, XML, XSL, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript).
- Experience with automated Java build and test software (Ant, Maven, JUnit).
- Ability to determine unique and creative solutions to problems within a rapid development environment.
- Ability to work well independently or within a team, especially cross-functional team.
- Experience with SQL/Database such as MySQL, Postgre.
- Knowledge and/or experience in application containers such as Tomcat, Glassfish or JBoss.
- Creates well designed, reusable objects and understands browser specific compatibility issues.
- Provides work direction to assigned Junior Developers. Responsible to answer questions from other Developers/Analysts in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively direct project�s deadlines and deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
