Description

Job Objectives:

• Assist the Head of Philippines Compliance in overseeing the operations within JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Philippine Customer Care Center (JPMPCCC) - ensuring that the company conducts
its business in compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, laws, best market practices and Group compliance standards.
• Assist the Head of Philippines Compliance in ensuring that operating managers are provided with appropriate advice and guidance, regarding the regulatory environment, to enable them to
establish the structure and framework required to be compliant in all business activities.
• To conduct all monitoring work devised to accomplish the above.
• To draft the requisite compliance reports submitted to management and Global Compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Advisory
• Advise JPMPCCC local management on applicable local and international regulations
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with Donor Compliance Officers
• Develop and update compliance manual policies and procedures in relation to regulations.
• In conjunction with Donor and LOB Compliance Officers, interpret and implement policies and regulations impacting processes and services that have been hubbed in JPMPCCC.
• Update businesses regularly about regulatory developments in coordination with relevant Donor Compliance officers.
• Keep abreast of latest developments or updates in the local market that are relevant to JPMPCCC's operations.

2. Regulatory Relationships
• Assist the head of Philippines Compliance in maintaining cordial relationships with local regulators
• Manage any individual and entity licensing requirements of JPMPCCC
• Coordinate with regulators during audits and inspections of JPMPCCC
• Manage all regulatory interface and communications (i.e. notifications, requests for approval, etc)

3. Training
• Develop relevant and suitable training programs
• Work with Donor and LOB Compliance officers to determine training requirements and implementation plans.
• Conduct staff training, both new hire and refresher training, maintain annual calendar of training schedules for JPMPCCC.
• Coordinate with LOB and Donor Compliance Officers to facilitate any special training where required.

4. Documentation
• Handle the preparation of internal reports
• Coordinate with Legal/local counsel and the Office of the Secretary on all legal and corporate secretarial tasks related to JPMPCCC.

5. Monitoring & Surveillance

• Assist in the development of templates and coordinate input from impacted functions for ensuring regular review and assessment of whether the local regulatory and donor locations requirements
are being met.
• Assist the head of Philippines Compliance as well as LOB Compliance in the development and implementation of monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and with local
regulatory, legal and industry requirements.
• Assist management in ensuring that the Code of Conduct and other internal policies are adhered to.
• Assist in the investigation of complaints, internal policy breaches and other concerns.

6. Migration of Projects:

• Provide assistance to Transition Management Team/ Air Traffic Control group, as applicable and Donor Compliance in relation to projects being moved to Manila.
• Work closely with the Regional and Global Compliance outsourcing Coordinators to ensure compliance issues are escalated and addressed and global outsourcing and offshoring processes followed.
• Provide initial green light approval on all offshoring projects
• Provide input to the Legal and Compliance framework documentation and review and sign off on all project framework documentation.
• Ensure implementation in JPMPCCC of various policy and regulatory requirements of Donor Locations in relation to the projects being migrated.
• Wherever necessary, provide advice in relation to Receptor location requirements relating to local regulations and policies in respect of projects being hub into Manila.
• Coordinate with Legal to review Service Level Agreements and other documentation to ensure that they are in compliance with local regulations.

7. General

• Interface between the LOB and Donor Compliance Officers on BAU issues.
• Liaise with internal and external Legal as well as Audit for any regulatory and compliance issues

Qualifications
• Knowledgeable on banking-related laws, rules, regulations, practices
• Self motivated and proactive; able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Organize and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess good regulatory experience with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Have experience working in the banking industry, preferably in the areas of Risk Management; Legal and Compliance
• Have good communication and presentation skills - both oral and written
