FINANCE SUPERVISOR Duties and Responsibilities: - Formulates an accounting checklist in order to monitor on time submission of all reports and remittances.
- Obtains accurate figures of the reports to be submitted.
- Encodes all necessary information in the Aphalist Data Entry System in order to generate an electronic attachment to be submitted.
- Files reports using online processing.
- Encodes and monitors all transactions in the Purchase Book both for the excel and Aspel – COI – Mexican System.
- Finalizes accruals an d ensures absence of double recording.
- Monitors monthly accounts payable;
- Reviews and checks all cheques processed, purchase order, invoices and advises regarding potential over-expenditures or misappropriation.
- Reviews the accuracy of the petty cash replenishment prepared by the petty cash custodian and ensuring proper handling of cash issued.
- Monitors advertising expenses, and ensures that all disbursements are within the given budget.
- Reviews the last pay computation from Compben, and identifies accruals from the previous recording.
- Answers verbal and written inquiries about accounts payable and other accounting matters.
- Supervises other accounting staff during a minor portion of the employee's work time; duties include assigning, reviewing and checking of work.
- Leads and nurtures a work culture that promotes open, frequent and dynamic communication among staff, stimulating teamwork to accomplish desired goa ls and objectives.
Qualifications: - A graduate of BS Accountancy.
- 2-4 years experience in accounting work, with at least 1 year in Senior Staff or supervisory function.
- Preferably with a CPA license.
- Willing to be relocated in DUMAGUETE.
- Extensive knowledge in accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of BIR Tax requirements and regulations, Aphalisting (suppliers/employees), computerized accounting applications and systems, and EFPS (Electronic Filing and Payment System)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Internet use
- Ability to plan and organize work to deliver on commitments in a timely, orderly, effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to identify problems, determines possible solutions, and actively works to resolve the issues using various problem solving tools and techniques.
- Ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of actio n or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions.
- Ability to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completely, with attention to detail.
- Ability to facilitate & follow through the flow of work for a project or undertaking and ever ready to provide support when called for until completion or when the desired results are achieved.
- Ability to identify and assess relevant information, issues, and concerns; relate and compare data from different sources, and identify alternative actions. Approaches situations in a systematic or logical manner.
- Ability to convey information and express oneself clearly orally and in written form, in a persuasive or logical manner to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the message.
- Willing to work in a graveyard shift / shifting schedules.
