SOFTWARE TESTING CONSULTANT
(National Capital Reg)
The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring one or more of the following test phases: product test, performance test, user acceptance test, and regression test.
Key responsibilities may include one or more of the following:
- Implementing standard processes, methodologies and tools
- Driving test planning and execution activities
- Determining testing environment requirements and tools
- Developing test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results
- Executing test scripts and reporting defects
- Reviewing test execution results to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria.
- Status reporting of progress against budget and schedule
- Issue and risk management
- Managing and facilitating stakeholder communication
Professional Skills Requirement s
- At least 3 years experience in software testing in any IT platform
- Very good understanding of functional and/or non-functional testing processes and methodologies
- Experience in functional and/or non-functional test planning, test design, test scripting, script execution, capturing results, reporting defects and maintenance of test suite
- Very good understanding and hands-on experience in one or more of the following tools: HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management, HP Quick Test Pro, HP LoadRunner, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Functional Tester, Rational Performance Tester
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Educational Background:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent, with industry experie nce
